If u are looking for gadgets for cooking this is the place. The staff knows about what they are talking about. Really good variety of pro chef quality knives ... and for really amateur like me. Also they have cooking lessons. If you are in the sourrandings of the Opera area and you like cooking It's a visit I totally recommend.

I brought a team from work here for a cooking class and we had a great time. We learned a bunch, cooked a huge meal and a delicious Tarta de Santiago (two actually) and ate a ton! It was delicious. They were able to provide an English speaking teacher who was amazing and the rest of the staff were very nice. It's a beautiful store with an amazing history. I'll definer be back and an recommending it to other teams in the office.

Whenever I spend time in Madrid, I try to take advantage of some cooking classes at Alambique. I have been going to Alambique for more than 15 years and have never been disappointed. The classes are demo style with experienced and highly professional chefs. Generally a complete menu or at least 4 to 5 dishes are prepared and then shared. The atmosphere is relaxed and consequently leads to interesting conversations. I met one of my best friends at one of these classes. This year I have been to both the saffron class and the paella class. Both were full of useful information, good recipes and delicious tastings. The store has every tool you need to cook with. Thank you for offering this cook’s paradise here in Madrid.
