I visited yesterday to enquire about membership and keeping my yacht here for a year. What a first class experience we enjoyed from Nano and his colleagues. Despite my awful Spanish we enjoyed a tour of the marvelous facilities. Fingers crossed we can find a berth and be accepted as members.

As a member of the international society of watersport (DKV in my case) you might expect to be treated as a friend here. Instead you will be treated as an inconveniant intruder, almost like an enemy although I simply wished to put my very own kayak into the water from the Clubs boatbridge, landing there again after training and store the kayak for 5 days somewhere on the Clubs property. Guests from outside are definitly NOT welcome. Be prepared to be whipped off this Clubs door in case you hope to continue your training programm during your holidays. You will not be allowed to use any of the Clubs infrastructure or meet colleagues, not even if you offer a notable donation. (100.-- for 5 days have been declined) Sports Spirit Bye Bye

We have been in the Club for seven months. The staff are exceptionally polite and accommodation. The bar and restaurant are great value, and great quality. The facilities are great with toilets and showers available. The pontoons are secure access by a fingerprint Scanned or number code. The marinaros are always on hand and will get you into your berth at most times of the day or night and will try to help you with any problem. The wifi has improved, a lot, and is now pretty good. For deep draft yachts like ours at 2.1m we are on the end pontoon which is a long walk from the clubhouse so leave a few minutes to cover the distance. The only issue is the wash that comes through under the pontoon and which induces quite a bit of rolling at times, sometimes it can be quite several. However the marina is overlooked by the stunning castle and is very peaceful. You have great access to the new and old town, transport links are a few minutes walk and the Panoramis cinema complex is next door. Great location and great Club which matches the Deportivo marina for prices. Excellent.
